Just a few holiday thoughts..

I have so much in my life to be grateful for. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, ways in which I do not deserve. I can't believe the point I am at right now in my life. I have come so far in the last 10 years. I lived through a divorce to come into something so much better. I guess it is true that we have to die to our old ways before we rise to the beautiful life that we dream of. I have come through so much sorrow and pain only to be blessed with a husband whom I did pray for but realizing now that God blessed me with more than I prayed for. I also dared to pray for a family and when I was told that that dream would not come true, God again answered my prayer with the gift of adoption. We will eventually become a family for a small child who would not otherwise have a family. We need her just as much as she needs us. Now knowing that it could be several years before we get to hold our precious daughter from China, God has again stepped in and given us the miracle of all miracles. Never believing that I would feel a child grow inside me, never believing that I would hold a newborn of my own, praying for that even though we were told that it was impossible. Now God has blessed us with this pregnancy. It is a miracle, there is no other way to describe it.

May God bless you all during this Christmas season.

Oh Kelley! I am praising God along with you! Many congratulations on your pregnancy! We were blessed with three pregnancies and had one misscarriage. One of the absolutely sweetest parts of the pregnancy for me was feeling that little one moving inside of me. I would lay on the couch and "visit" with the miracle inside of me. How sweet the memories are. We are home one month now with our 6 year old Miah from China. That "birth" was certainly different and the journey of our relationship will always be different, but equally beautiful, special and meaningful. God has indeed blessed her with a courageous spirit and an open and loving heart. We are trully blessed beyond measure. I don't post much, but will enjoy following your blog! Our blog is www.youbelong.net/theburges, if you would like to see pics.

Take care and best wishes!
Betsy

Kelley-
I am so utterly, absolutely, 100% full of joy for you! And BTW, it's a girl. Mark my words! I can't wait for you to feel the first tickle of movement! I was sick at least 3 times every single day for 4 months and I would still do it a million more times if I could!
You continue to be in my prayers!
Love,
Marcy

I totally agree with both posters before me. My absolute favorite part of pregnancy was feeling my baby moving. Kept me awake at night a few time (didn't like that :) but there's nothing like it!

I'm so very happy for you & your husband!

God is good! May He continue to bless you & your family!

Merry Christmas!
